The Story of
Medieval Village Primerose Lane Volume 1
Primrose Lane Volume 1 is a set of homes - and homes only - within a medieval or medieval fantasy city - residents of Primerose Lane in the Old City. Primrose Lane residents believe in keeping their homes in good order, and garland them every year for the Primrose Festival. Each house includes texture maps and furnishings that fit a medieval or medieval fantasy setting.
The Village Series
Meshbox Design's Village series of models are extremely popular with artists
and animators. Medieval Village Primerose Lane Volume 1 is a new extension on to that series

The Models
- The Widow's House. Everyone on Primrose lane knows the widow, though few know her birth name. This sweet lady lost her husband in an old military exercise in a far away land. She keeps a neat, two story home, with kitchen, dining and siting area on the first floor, and two bedrooms on the second floor. Several furnishings bear a heart symbol, one of her favorites - including her rocking chair next to the fire. Her spinning wheel is in the landing area upstairs. - The Garden House. It is called the garden house - the retired couple that live there spend their day in their garden - and indeed, flower pots and flower boxes are everywhere on this two story building. On the first floor, there is a separate kitchen from a very spacious dining and meeting area. - The Flat Roof House. The Flat Roof House is a more modern dwelling, though its owner seems to have fallen into some bad times. It features a combined, large dining room, sitting area and kitchen, plus a large, single bed bedroom on the second floor. A ladder and trap door lead to the roof, where a dove cote has been built, and various cages are awaiting new occupants. The owner can securely keep fowl such as chickens in such a modern house - all on the roof! - The Hunter's House. The Hunter's House is built of a country brick, though the fireplace inside is of an unusual southern red brick. The hunter is rarely at home. On the walls are trophy antlers, and all the chairs on the ground floor have fur seats. Upstairs on the landing is a blade sharpening wheel to keep the hunter's kit in working order. A large single bedroom is clean but hardly used. A number board hangs outside the house. - Stone Steps House. Noone remembers who lived here, except that they were arrested at least a year before. The house is showing signs of weathering and damage, and its clear the house was searched and ransacked. Much of the furnishings are broken or showing signs of mould damage. The house design is similar to other houses on Primrose lane, except that it features both front and back stone work steps. - Primrose Apartments. The Primrose Apartments are a pleasant place to live - full four floors, with rooms in front and in the back. A small penthouse is also available - fully furnished! A common room on the ground floor has a service counter and tables, and a small room in the back for a resident house keeper. All windows bear the signature primrose flower boxes. - The Cupola House. The Cupola House is the spacious home of an architect - built with an attached tower on one side, anticipating later expansion. - The Boarding House.The Boarding House is a very tall, three floors high, more in the style of the late medieval and early rennaisance eras. The first floor features a large common room with counter and kitchen space, with stairs leading upwards to where a great many short and long term boarders can stay. Apply custom textures to the external walls to match a continental european style or british style.
